Philly Faculty Braves Pie in the Face to Raise Money for Ronald McDonald House
Beta Club's annual "Pie in the Face" fund raiser was held on May 11. Over $200 was raised to support the Ronald McDonald House. The cost to support one family at the house is around $25 per week. Kids purchased tickets for 50 cents each. If their name was drawn, they got to choose the teacher whose face they would like to smear with a WHIP CREAM PIE!!! We celebrate the accomplishments and characters of our kids on this day. PARENTS and VISITORS, we ask that if you arrive before your child's scheduled time in the gym, please be respectful of the program that is going on before yours and DO NOT ENTER into the gym when a program is in progress. Caleb was the first Philadelphia Warriors Baseball player to hit a GRAND SLAM and Brett was the first Philadelphia Warriors Baseball player to hit a HOME RUN in our new baseball field (Curtis Field). Congratulations to both of you!!!

Philadelphia Warriors Baseball Team Places 3rd and makes plans for Summer Camp!
Our baseball team finished 3rd in our division for this 2009 season. We had a tough time getting our games in this year due to uncooperating weather. But none the less, the Warriors played very well this year and finished out the year in 3rd! GO WARRIORS! We hope the Warriors can take advantage of the newly completed field and batting cage next season to gain the edge over our competition! Gabe Curtis and Cody Watts are planning a Warriors Baseball Camp this summer. Details will be announced at a later date.

WARRIORS WRESTLING TEAM WINS 105 MATCHES OUT OF 224!
Congratulations to our Warriors Wrestling Team who completed their year winning 47% of their matches. 10 of the 18 wrestlers went on to compete in State Competition where two of them medaled. Trace Kile took 4th in the Sate and Kyler McNeal took 2nd in the State. We are so very proud of our beginning team. It is phenomenal how they have performed this year. We are looking forward to even more accomplishments next year!

Warriors Wrestling Team Plans Summer Camp
Philadelphia will again host a Summer Wrestling Camp. The camp will be July 20-24. Flyers will be sent home for registration by the end of the school year.
